I'm sick of xanga.

::sigh:: I'm so fickle. You'd think I was raised in a satin gown with maids fanning over me.

Anyway, I'm moving to here -> http://flyingcupcakes.blogspot.com

There's nothing there yet but what can I say, we're still unpacking.

Ick. I am sick, sick, sick. Doc. Said I have "Walking Pneumonia". Yeah. So the good thing about that would be that I can walk, but the bad part is I have pneumonia. XD I kill myself. I went to the library, apologised to the nice librarian whose daughter has to present for me in English (I <3 you Celia) and loaded up on cooking books. Including the one, the only, Vegetarian Meat & Potatoes Cookbook. It was sent from God. But then, before I could cook anything I promptly fell asleep. Damn lungs. Anyway, I'm making cinnamon rolls tommorow morning ::dance dance:: You'll see those then. Toodles.

Haha! I am victorious! I was daring, today, and tried my first ever recipe for scones. Pumpkin Scones from joyofbaking.com which rocks even your grandma. Mom took one bite and said (I quote) "This is the best recipe you've ever made." T__T I can die happy. Foto-whore-ation:

Don't you wish you could have one? Well, you can't, the recipe only made 8 >_< and I have to feed the smurfs who power my oven. Run faster, dammit!

Being sick isn't always that bad...

I can't stand when people go to school or work sick and are miserable (or complain) because of it, so I stayed home. When I woke up it was pretty bad, that bowling-ball feeling but now it's just my throat and I wish I could drive around town or go shopping XD Mom said I can bake, woot! I think I did the right thing even though I don't have strep, resting and taking vitamins and drinking tea is what makes you better, not pushing yourself beyond your limits. Anyway, I'm currently deciding what to bake so I'll update when I actually make something.

Today was good. That's really the best word for it, good. Not great or anything, of course, just dandy. It was a day off school so I slept in some, got new Cookies n' Creme Pop-Tarts (guilty pleasure. I'm currently going through a crap-food phase. deal with it) Mom took us out for lunch at TGI Fridays which is the most un-vegetarian friendly restaurant ever. I had a salad. The lady thought I was crazy. We went to Whole Foods to get bratwurst for my grandpa for dinner, it's a German pride thing. I totally took advantage of mom when she was distracted and got Hummus! ::dance, dance:: I'm so Indian, right? It's a symbol of vegetarianism, a mark of honor. Then we went to Costco and got Halloween candy and I pushed my way to getting Essn drinks, which are uber. Also, got mom to let me try baking after my failed attempt at Chocolate Charlotte last night (learn about Charlottes http://cakefun.blogspot.com/2005/05/charlottes-on-web.html ). I did a no-brainer, Oatmeal Raisin cookies pictured below:

and bigger...

It was fun, and they turned out decent. Too much nutmeg and a little crispy on the bottom, and they didn't flatten out like I like them to. (suggestions?) The evening was fun, I learned softball (I'm fucking sports-inept) but the meal flopped. Mom over cooked the bratwurst and didn't make enough burgers and didn't have sauerkraut or fries. My vegetables triumphed and I was happy (except for minor onion indigestion) but mom's pissed as ever so we're just staying away...far away. And thinking up how to bake and clean up before she gets home tommorow.

Oh, and in other news, dermatologist apt. on Wednesday (out of school early! woot!) and Thursday is MRI day, let's all gather around for another episode of House, shall we?

P.S. This site is so self-nurturing it won't even allow HTML. ph|_|(|< '/0|_||2 |\/|0|\/|
